Class 8 - Corrosive - Blank UN Box - 30114
This Class 8 - Corrosive Substances sign/placard is used to warn of potentially hazardous materials in transit. Class 8 substances (corrosive substances) means substances which, by chemical action, will cause severe damage when in contact with living tissue or, in the case of leakage, will materially damage, or even destroy, other goods or the means of transport (e.g. Nitric Acid, Hydrochloric Acid).
If the warning diamond is being posted on a background which does not provide a contrasting colour with the sign, for example a white diamond on a white background, the dotted boundary alternative must be used - 126.96.36.199.1.1 ADR (European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) applicable from January 2011).
